Booking hibachi in Missouri — what actually matters
Four real seasons
Summer parties go in the backyard; October through March a garage with the door up, a covered patio or a finished basement walk-out all work. The chef cooks on propane and needs ventilation, never a closed room.
Graduations and Cardinals season
May graduation weekends and home-stand Saturdays are the two times the calendar fills first. Two to three weeks out is comfortable; the same-week call usually still finds a slot midweek.
Subdivisions and trustee rules
Some St. Louis and St. Charles subdivisions have rules about open flame in common areas. Private driveways and back yards are almost never a problem.
Lake of the Ozarks rentals
Vacation-rental docks and decks are a normal booking for us. Check the rental's grilling policy — a few condo associations at the Lake say no propane on the deck, and the parking lot or a lakeside pad is the usual workaround.

Missouri hibachi catering questions
How much does hibachi catering cost in Missouri?
Classic is $55 per adult and $30 per child and includes two proteins per guest. Premium is $65 per adult and $40 per child for three proteins. Every guest also gets house salad, grilled vegetables and hibachi fried rice. There is a 10-guest minimum and a $550 minimum order total, so smaller parties are quoted at the $550 floor.
Is there a travel fee to my part of Missouri?
Travel is a flat $50 for the first 50 miles, then $1 per mile beyond that, tolls included. Inside Missouri the distance is measured from our own Saint Ann chef base, so anywhere within about an hour of Saint Ann is the flat $50. The quote you get online already has it worked out — no surprise line item afterwards.
Do you only serve Missouri?
No. Our chefs will travel to any state. California, Missouri and Georgia are where our chefs actually live, so those are the fastest to schedule; for the other 47 states we quote travel from your own state capital, which keeps a cross-country booking to a sane number. Ask and we will tell you honestly what it costs.
What do I need to provide?
Tables, chairs, plates and utensils are yours by default, which keeps the per-person price honest. If you would rather we handle it, tableware is $5 per guest, tables and chairs are $15 per guest, and the full setup — tables, chairs and tableware together — is $18 per guest.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
No. The $50 deposit is optional. It matters in peak season because our best chefs are assigned first to guests who have placed it, but you can also settle the whole balance on the day.
How far ahead should I book in Missouri?
Two to three weeks is comfortable for a weekend evening. Holiday weekends, graduation season and December fill earliest. Last-minute is still worth asking — text or call and we will tell you honestly whether a chef is free.
What proteins are included?
Chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon, scallops and vegetable tofu are all standard choices. Filet mignon is $15 extra and lobster tail $20 extra per guest who wants it.
